Riya and Matt
Riya and Matt held an intimate wedding in the private dining space at Metropolitan Grill. When we first discussed florals, Riya knew that she wanted various shades of pink, with the dark, hot, fuchsia pink accenting the deep emerald green velvet accents of the dining space. I wish we had been closer to dahlia season for the many pinks and raspberry tones, but alas we did have the next best thing (if not even better)- peony season! I was so fun to work with a gradient of pinks and such bright color on these pieces.

Riya carried a bouquet of blush Quicksand roses and white peonies, with a long-tailed bow ribbon wrap. Elegant and glamorous, she wanted white and blush tones for her and Matt’s personal florals.
Matt and Riya’s ceremony took place at the head of the chairman’s room. The florals for their altarpiece were a more stylized look, with accents of smoke bush and hanging amaranthus. Flowers included: fuchsia stock, white cala lilies, hot pink and light pink peonies, Queen Berry hot pink rose, Quicksand blush rose, light pink/white cymbidium orchids, and wild sweet peas.
Matt’s boutonniere was a single Quicksand rose.
Guests gathered for dinner with candlelight in glass cylinders, as well as two tall fluted centerpieces and assorted budvases. The tall pieces had layers of fuchsia stock, smoke bush, hot pink ranunculus, pink peonies, wild sweet peas, and blush Quicksand roses.
The budvases were monotypes of hot pink ranunculus, roses, sweet peas, and peonies. The clear cutglass style vases echoed the vintage feel of the space.
Moody late night vibes captured so beautifully… Thank you Lyndsey for these amazing shots.
When I arrived back at the party to clean up, Riya and Matt were having fun posing and snuggling up on the green couch under the altar flowers. I later disassembled this piece to make take-home bouquets for guests! Check out this Reel for behind the scenes of putting those together and look for a blog post coming soon all about bouquet bars.
Thank you so much Riya for trusting me to bring your vision to life- Congratulations!
